Mathematics

Mathematics is a strange subject. It's rarely a philosophy, because problems typically yield specific, exact answers. Is it a science? If you're a mathematician, then yes it is! Is math an art? Although it does relate to art, math by itself is too dry to do anything expressive with. Beauty can be found in math, but the patterns are from the numbers themselves; they have to be discovered instead of created.

Zero Dimensions

The number zero is special, as it is neither negative nor positive. 0 lies at the intersection between real and imaginary, and I mean this literally and figuratively. It is the point.

A line can be divided into parts, which is useful for measurement.
